
Best is to select qemu64 as CPU type for the installation). (Hint: the installation will be much slower that you’d expect, so be very patient. Once that is complete, stop the machine and remove the ISO from the drives and boot up your new VM.


Go to drives and create a drive of at least 10GB size, better more. Start utm and “Create a New VM”, give it whatever name you want. This assumes you have installed Homebrew. The latter is not required, but makes life a lot easier.
